Black First Land First (BLF) has told journalists that the organisation is preparing to grab land all across the country. The land grabs will also be “intensified” from next year.
BLF leader Andile Mngxitama said on Wednesday that they have been identifying “white stolen land”.
“Black people are landless, we don’t have the land. We are just taking small pieces here and there but we are [now] taking more and more. You will see that the campaign is going to intensify … 31st December is the night when we are going to make sure that we are ready. We are setting up land expropriation committees across the nation, identifying white stolen land.”
While the organisation is going “to move in” from January 2018, they also have land grabs planned for this coming Saturday in Ekurhuleni. BLF say that they are in the process of setting up a college to teach “our people” how to farm the land in an alternative fashion.
Mngxitama claims that AfriForum has sent his organisation a letter of demand ordering them to stop making threats to take back the land. He also called AfriForum a “racist, extremist, criminal organisation”.
Oddly enough, we’re sure many would say the EXACT same about BLF. Mngxitama even says that he will organise plans to make sure AfriFourm leaves the country.
“We are not going to allow land thieves such as AfriForum to try to bully us again using the courts. When have received a letter of demand from their lawyers saying we must refrain from saying we demand and we’re going to take the land. That’s absolute nonsense,”
Mngxitama was also asked on the court interdict that barred BLF and its members from intimidating or threatening any journalists.
“There is no battle lost here. The battle continues, in fact, the battle has just started. Show us any racist and you will see us dealing with that racist very fast. Racism must come to an end now. No one must feel comfortable that the court decision said racists have the right to be racist.”
